Scanning Examples
At Pearson Imaging all scans are done individually by hand using professional Nikon Super Coolscan 5000 or 9000 ED film scanners to ensure the highest level of quality possible. The 5000 ED integrates Digital ICE4 technology, the newest image enhancement technology available. After evaluating this technology for several months we have come to the conclusion that the use of Digital ROC and DEE are not necessary for most images. Instead of using these automatic color and exposure correction tools we prefer to do manual color and exposure corrections. These corrections are included free of charge.
The examples listed here are intended to help you better understand the differences between processing options we offer. Click here to learn about how to choose a scan resolution and processing options. We highly recommend selecting ICE processing for all slides & negatives.

All examples were scanned at 1333ppi. The image size was reduced and the files were saved as jpegs in order to reduce file size and decrease load time in your browser. All examples were taken with low cost point-and-shoot cameras without a tripod. The slides and negatives were in average to good condition when they were scanned.
