Hi8, 8mm, & Digital8 to DVD Conversion Service
Preserve your home movies and family memories! Send us your Video8, (8mm camcorder), Hi8, and Digital8 (D8 camcorder) tapes and we will transfer them to DVD. The reason to transfer your camcorder tapes to DVD's is that tapes deteriorate fairly fast. DVD's do not deteriorate with time or use and have a lifespan of over 100 years. Preserve your family videos and memories while they are still in decent shape! Our service is designed to be as simple as possible.
Camcorder formats we convert to DVD: Video8 (8mm), Hi8, and Digital8.
NTSC Only: All tapes must be NTSC format (North America), we do not convert PAL tapes. Your tape will be recorded onto DVD-R in NTSC format.
You will get your original tape back along with the DVD transfer. The DVD will have chapter markers roughly every 5 minutes so you can quickly advance through the disc. It will have no menu unless two or more tapes are combined onto one DVD. The DVD itself will not be labeled, but will come in a DVD case with a black & white title card. The only editing we do is combining tapes onto one DVD or splitting tapes into separate DVD's.
Each tape must be at the point where you want recording to begin and end. Also clearly indicate how you would like your DVD case insert to be labeled for each tape.
